You must obtain certain " KEYS" to intiate entrance into membership, these keys are expectations and practices used within our fellowship that will help better prepare you for membership qualifications during your pledge process and beyond.
Candidates will need to familiarize themselves with the definitions and biblical quotes of the "Fraternity and Sorority Stones" listed in the following post, this is a great importance for it is the selected language used amongst the "Shield Bearers" in greeting.
There is a minimum six month pledging process.
The pledging will consist of empowering tasks, that will be geared toward what "The Snob Shoppe" is all about. Volunteer work, finding and supporting social events, mentoring, empowering and FUN.
SORORITY STONE
The Ruby - A deep red, translucent variety of the minerial corundum, highly valued as a precious stone. RUBY-(Heb. Peninum), only in plural (Lam, 4:7). The ruby was one of the stones in the high priests breastplate (Ex. 28:17). A comparison is made between the value of wisdom and rubies (Job 28:18; Prov. 31:15; 8:11). The price of a virtuous woman is said to be "far above rubies" (Prov. 31:10). The exact meaning of the Hebrew word is uncertain. Some render it "red coral", others, "pearl" or "mother-of-pearl".
Lamentations 4:7 - Her Nazarites were purer than snow, they were whiter than milk, they were more ruddy than rubies, their polishing was of sapphire.
Job 28:18 - No mention shall be made of coral, or of pearls: for the price of wisdom is above rubies.
Proverbs 8:11 - For wisdom is better than rubies; and all things that may be desired are not to be compared to it.
Proverbs 31:10 - Who can find a virtuous woman? for her price is far above rubies.
Proverbs 31:15 - She riseth also while it is yet night, and giveth meat to her household, and a portion to her maidens.
FRATERNITY STONE
The Sapphire - A clear, fairly pure form of the mineral corundum that is usually blue but may be any color except red. It often contains small amounts of oxides of cobalt, chromium, and titanium and is valued as a gem. Sapphire-Associated with diamonds (Ex. 28:18) and emeralds (Ezek. 28:13); a precious stone of a sky-blue colour, probably the lapis lazuli, brought from babylon. "The throne of God is discribed as of the colour of a sapphire (Ex. 24:10; comp. Ezek. 1:26).
Exodus 24:10 - And they saw the God of Israel: and there was under his feet as it were a paved work of a sapphire stone, and as it were the body of heaven in his clearness.
Ezekiel 1:26 - And above the firmament that was over their heads was the likeness of a throne, as the appearance of a sapphire stone and upon the likeness of the throne was the likeness as the appearance of a man above upon it.
Ezekiel 28:18 - Thou hast been in Eden the garden of God; every precious stone was thy covering, the sardius, topaz, and the diamond, the beryl, the onyx, and the jasper, the sapphire, the emerald, and the carbuncle, and gold: the workmanship of thy tabrets and of thy pipes was prepared in thee in the day that thou wast created.
SHIELD BEARERS
Shield Bearer - Members that have completed their pledging requirements and is raising the bar of standards with continued efforts to improve our well-polished fellowship through various acts of goodwill, commitment and support. Contributing time, money, ideas and other selfless acts of participation to club activities and interestes. Adding Esq. to the end of their names and wearing what is so earned and well-deserved the "Shield of Esquire".
Shield of Esquire - The Gold Shield membership pin with gem stone, defining members prestige and title.
Bar of Standards - The high quality and level of image, personality, sexuality, pride and many other characteristics of human nature. Shield Bearers must obtain and maintain such qualities. this is an expectation and practice within our fellowship. "We strengthen our foundation and structure through the bar of standards we set".
